In the summer of 2007 Jim and Dave decided it was time to open their
own motorcycle repair shop. There were many steps and many hoops to
jump through to get their business up and running. Jim and Dave had
their lawyer draw up all the needed papers, a few signatures later the
corporation was formed. Now they needed to find the perfect location
for their business, fate played its part as sometimes it does. On Oct 1,
2007 Jim and Dave took possession of 2939 York Rd. Gettysburg, PA
17325, the home of Ironhorse Repair. After a long month of renovations
the shop was ready to open for business. So on November 1, 2007 the
"Open" sign was turned on and history for the two men was about to be
made, whether famous or infamous.
Almost one year later and a lot of late nights we are still here and don't
plan on going any where. In this past year we have made a lot of new
friends most from this area and some from as far away as Switzerland.
We have repaired many of our friends
bikes, cars, boats and equipment, thats right Ironhorse Repair
works on more than just motorcycles so if you ride or drive, come see us
for your auto needs as well. Cars, trucks, boats and
equipment help us get through the cold snowy months.
About Us
Jim
Retired from the military after 21 years. Jim and his family have lived all
over the United States. They settled down here in PA eight years ago.
Jim has been turning wrenches on bikes for nearly twenty years. His eye
for detail or his anal retentiveness, however you want to say it, keeps the
motors running.
Dave
Decided after 25 years of turning wrenches on everything from
Motorcycles to Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment (and everything in
between) that it was time to do Motorcycles only! With cold weather
right around the corner he says that he can now do all his wrenching in a
nice warm garage.
